MISSOULA, Mont. — Northwestern Energy reports that engineers have fixed the broken gate at Hebgen Dam.

The company says crews finished repairs just before midnight.

Water is flowing again and the river level on the upper Madison is rising.

This comes after the dam malfunctioned, causing water to drop on Tuesday, threatening the fishery.

Volunteers helped rescue stranded fish on Thursday.
