Twenty inch beauty for Bill Sachs yesterday. We fished the Channels stretch and found some great new deep runs created by the ice gorge. Every year is a learning process after the gorge…some old spots disappear, and new ones emerge. The river was quite fishable yesterday, with an off-green clarity and a water level suitable for wading. I expect this all to change any day as warm temps in the forecast are sure to bring high water and mud.

This fine trout was released alive and swam away in great shape.
