Even though we have not had much snow in and around Ennis this winter, the snowpack upstream in the basins around the Hilgards, Quake, Hebgen and West Yell. is not horrible, with the upper Madison Basin checking in at 87%. There is actually a fair amount of snow piling up around Cabin Ck., Beaver Ck. and West Yellowstone. We are below average but have plenty of time to catch up the rest of winter and spring. This map shows “snow water equivalent” which is moisture content and not depth of snow like they report for the ski hills.
