According to MT FWP Region 3 fisheries biologist Mike Duncan, the kids are alright. Nearly three years later all is calm. all is bright. Well…not a bright as it used to be… but still not bad. Actually, I’m not real clear on the fish numbers. FWP says 3000 fish per mile but that includes rainbows and browns lumped together. Since the dam broke in November, smack dab in the middle of the brown trout spawn, I would feel better seeing the browns separated out from the population numbers. “We dodged a bullet” says Duncan.

OK…I feel better now. RB
